SHOT IN THE THIGH
CLOTHING ON FIRE
MAN'S CONDITION SERIOUS
(By Telegraph.) ■ . (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, 3rd May. A sensational incident occurred at the main entrance doors to the Auckland Hospital shortly after 9 o'clock on Saturday evening, -when a young man staggered to tho office with a bullet wound in his thigh. The man, Mr. Trevor Wilson, of the Great South road, Pnpatoctoe, was formerly a patient in the hospital, and had lately been an out-patient. His condition .this evening was reported to bo serious. When' Mr. Wilson was first seen by clerks in tho office he was highly excited and was pressing his hands to his thigh. 'His clothing was on lire. ITo was admitted for examination, a nil it was found that he had been shot, the bullet having entered tho left side of his abdomen. A subsequent search revealed a revolver on tho ground near tho door. Mr. Wilson left homo about a year ago and recently'received an injury at the Great Barrier Island which necessitated the amputation of his left arm. Ho was brought, to Auckland from the island by H.M.S. Duncdin, which was on its way to manoeuvres. Ho was discharged from hospital last Tuesday, but was still receiving massagetreatment.
