POLLING CLERKS
(To the Editor.) Sir,—lt is to be hoped that those responsible for the engagement of poll clerks and other start for the coming municipal elections will give car to the applications from clerks, single find otherwise, now on the city unemployment list. Betired superannuated men and women should not have consideration, nor should any now in employment be engaged. There are. many clerks*and the like who are just existing. Many have paid the unemployment levy and cannot obtain jobs. Positions such as the abovenamed should, in all fairness, be given them, and would prove a godsend.—l am> etC" . ELECTOH.
