TWO MUNICIPAL QUESTIONS

(To the Editor.) Sir,—"The Post" is to be commended for its editorial calling the bluff of those prospective councillors who are making vague statements. Here • are two questions that might well be .asked of candidates: — Are you in favour of continuing to drive prospective residents' of' Wellington City into other areas,'by reason of the council's niggardly transport, policy to its remaining suburbs available for' settlement, i.e., the'bus-served, suburbs? you in favour of the council's preparing a definite list of streets requiring surfacing and' provision of footpaths, so that residents of streets that have been waiting patiently for attention for fifteen years or more, will no longer be exasperated by works being done out'of the proper order?—l am, etc., : FOOTSORE AND WEARY.
