RACE AGAINST HORSE
Australia's sprint champion, J. A. Carlton, took part in a novel race with a trotter over 100 yards from a walk-up start at the St. Patrick's Day sports at West Mattland, Now South Wales. Carlton won by three yauls. Earlier in the day at tho same meeting he scored a comfortable win in th« 100 yards exhibition handicap in 9 9-10 sec.
