Protests against the continued observance of Empire Day and the flagsaluting ceremony in the schools wore contained in a report of the Advisory Education Committee of the A.L.P., submitted to tho Easter Conference. Tho Minister of Education, Mr. Davies, was instructed to revise the school syllabus eliminating "Imperial bias" and providing for instruction that would give "an adequate conception of tho struggles of the working class in history."
