Fat Lambs.—An entry of 3000 sold steadily at late rates to a keen demand. Values were: Prime lambs, to 15s lOd; medium, 13s 6d to 14s 9d; light, 11s to 13s; store, 8s 6d to 10s 9d. .Fafc sheep sold irregularly, with ewes) on a par with last week's rates and wethers a shade easier. Values were: Prime heavy wethers, 13s 6d to 16s. lOd; medium, 11s 9d to I3s; light, 6s to 8s; prime ewes to lOd 10d; medium, 7s 6d to 9s; light, 5s 6d to 7s; aged, 3s 6d to ss. JTat Cattle.—A splendid quality entry o£ only 265 head. The market opened up to £2 : a. head better, but eased to last ■peek's level. There was an average advance of £l.a head for all classes. Choice beef, made from 32s to 35s 6d per 1001b; good medium-weight beef, from 28s to 325; plain heavy beef, pd to 20s; cow beef, 23s to 273 6d; secondary, 19s to 225; and rough down to 16s.
