Wilson, Murphy street, left last evening for Cbristchurch, en route to Hokitika and the Franz Josef Glacier. Miss Vida M'Clure, Wellington, will be the guest of Miss Maberley Beadel, Christchurch, for the golf tournament next week. Miss Joeelyn Biddiford, Lower Hutt, and Miss Dinah Slonian, Tinakori road, left to-day for a short holiday at the Sounds. Mr. and Mrs. H. Moss, Hobson street, left Wellington to-day by car to visit Mrs. J. Didsbury, Eketahuna. Mrs. Coleridge Parr, Wellington, left, yesterday for a visit to Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Donald, Miss J. Donald, and Mr. J. B. Donald, Featherston, have been visiting the Southern Lakes and Queenstown. Mrs. "Guthrie Moore, who has been visiting Mrs. E. E. MacDougall, Christchurch, has returned to Wellington. Dr. Agnes Bennett, Wellington, will leave by the Makura on'7th April for a trip to- England. She expects to return "to New Zealand early next year. Mrs. J. Donald, Timaru, has left for a visit, to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Beauchamp, Singapore who have been the guesta of Mrs. C. H. Ussher, Timaru, have left there for the North Island. Miss Patricia Matthews, Lower Hutt, left on Tuesday evening for Christchurch. Miss M. Loughnan, Hobson street, left this morning to spend Easter with Mrs. Buperi; Carlyon, "Gwavas," llawkes Bay.- " Mr. and Mrs. John Franklin, Highland Park, are leaving for Christchurch to-night to visit Mrs. Burnard. Mrs. C. Stewart and daughters, Majoribanks street, and Mrs. F. D. Barnfield will leave tomorrow to pay a visit to Chateau Tongariro. They will motpr through'the Lake District before returning to Wellington. Miss Thyra Gill, Eawhiti terrace, left last evening for a visit to Dunodin. Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Bauchop, Easdale street, left Wellington last evening for Christchurch, where they will spend Easter with Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Baphael. Mrs. Hutton Peacock, Waipukurau, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Lloyd Clay, Wellington. The Rev. Mr. Warwick and' Mrs. Warwick hayo roturnod to Christchurch after a visit to the North Island. Miss Blackie and Miss Tolmie, Pun, edin, are visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs, B. A. Frostick and Miss Mariorio Frostick, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington this morning for a visit to the North Island. Miss Molly Robinson, Hataitai, will motor to Napier to spend Easter with Mrs.' C. O. Morse; . .', Mrs. Stanley Natuseh, Wellington, will leave next Thursday for a trip to England. She will bo absent from Now Zealand for eleven months. Mr. and Mrs. J. Patorson, Karori, aro aponding Easter at New Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hunt, Karori, left to-day for Eltham, whore they will stay with Mr. and Mrs. George H. Mann, Mrs, J.- A. Hanon arrived in Wellington from the South <m Tuesday, and is staying at No. -4, Mulgravo street. Mrs. Hanan intends to spend the -Buster holidays in Wellington. The Misses Moran, Bi'dwell street, have motored to- Auckland for the Easter races. Many Wellington people will bo intorested to hear of'the engagement of Miss Ngawine Wortloy and Mr. J. Gilbert Swift, Jnr., of Boston. Miss Wortley is the. only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wortley, formerly of Sydney. The late Mrs. Wortley was Miss Maude de Castro, youngest daughter of the late Bey. C. D. de Castro, of Wellington.
