LORD STONEHAVEN NAMED
(British Official Wireless.) (Received 2nd April, lpai.)' BUGBY, Ist April. The retirement was announced to. night of Mr. Neville Chamberlain from the chairmanship of the Conservative . Party organisation. Mr. Chamberlain: took over this post last June to effect; measures of reorganisation which ha! has now completed. Lord Stonehaven, formerly Governor-General of Austra* lia, has'consented to undertake thai chairmanship of the party. LONDON, Ist April. Lord Stonehavon is likely to be thai new Chairman of the ConservativeParty organisation, says the " Daily) Telegraph's" Peterborough correspondent. Mr. Neville Chamberlain's work ofi reorganisation at headquarters is practically over. He undertook the chair, manship only temporarily, and is anxious to return to his full Parliamentary; duties. The "Evening News" political correspondent understands that when Mr. Neville Chamberlain shortly retires from the chairmanship of the Conservative Party Lord Stonehaven's appointment as successor will meet with partyapproval.
