DISHONEST SECRETARY
An ex-secretary of the Alsatian Shepherd Do;; Club, Henry John Herman Tolchcr, who disappeared in December, lU2!>, with £12 belonging, to tho club, was arrested hist week in GisbomcTolcher, who appeared uu the charge sheet as a labourer aged 34, was .sentenced to three months' imprisonment when lie appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day ou a charge of theft. Sub-Inspector AVard said that in September, 1929, tho accused was elected secretary and treasurer of the club. Part of his duties was to collect subscriptions from the members. Between September and December of that year ho collected about £12 from various members and then disappeared. Pie was not found until about a week ngo. The accused had been before the Court for false pretences in 1929, and also for ;i breach of a probation order.
