FIRE AT TE AWAMUTU

(By Telegraph.—-Press Association.i TE AWAMUTU, 31st March. A five-roomed dwelling owned by Mr. B. Bridgman and occupied by Mrs. Johnston was totally destroyed by fire at 2.30 this morning. . Mrs. Johnston was in tho dwelling at. the time, and awoke to find the back poftion of the house well ablaze. She escaped through a -wjpdow in her night attire. The brigade came promptly, but too late- to save anything. The building was insured for £600 in the New Zealand Office, and the contents for £200 in the Victoria Office.
