Winds.—Freshening westerly winds, later veering to northerlies. Barometer.—Unsteady, but falling shortly. Seas. —Smooth to modorate genorally, but rising- south of Capo Egmont. Tides.—Good south of Cape Egmont and Castlepolnt; elsewhere moderate. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Cape Campbell, Stephens Island, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point. Weather. —Mainly fair in eastern and northern districts, but cloud increasing in districts with a westerly aspect, and showers probablo in the west coast and southern portions of the Souh. Island. Temperatures mild.
