SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Pressure has > been of the westerly type, a moderate anti-cyclone having boen centred to the northwards, whllo a series of slight lowpressure waves has been operating between Australia and southern New Zealand; Moderate winds between north-west and south-west have consequently prevailed, accompanied by a few isolated showers in the western districts and in tho far south. Generally, however, tho weather has been fair to fine and mild.
