Oamaru. —A collision took place at the Jlahcno railway crossing at 5.45 this morning between a train from Oainaru and a car proceeding to Christchurch. The driver of the car, Jfr. Knetvstubb, of Port Chalmers, was taken to the Oaraaru hospital and died an hour after admission.! . Mrs. Knewstubb aud hor daughter, Mrs. , Turner, are also In the hospital, but the \ oxtcnt of their injuries is unknown. The two Turner children were unhurt.
