' Messrs. .Wright, Stephenson, and Co., tLtd., and Abraham and Williams Ltd., feport on Johnsonville sale held yesterday fas follows:—There -was a large attendance (of the public present, to whom we subknitted a full yarding of all clases of stock Vith. the exception of lambs, which were |n short supply.. . " Beef.—The yarding comprised good qualSiy medium weight bullocks with a few tens of heavier sorts. The demand was taood at reduced limits, prices for bullocks Showing a decline of £1 per head, as comtoared with last week's sale. Vealers *h'owed a decline of from 5s to 7s 6d per Sheep.—The quality of the sheep—both iiwes and wethers—was good, some extra Jieavy sheep being offered. Prices were jflrm at last week's limits. Lambs were in short supply and showed Jwi advance on late sales. We quote: Heavy bullocks: £9 10s, £9 2s Gd, £9, [£B 17s 6d, £8 15s, £8 10s, £8 2s 6d. Bulfocks: £7 17s 6d, £7 15s, £7 10s, £7 2s 6d £■> £6 10s. Vealers: £2, £1 19s, £1 17s, \£X 16s, £1 12s, £1 11s, £1 10s to £1 2s. Wethers: Heavy, 12s, Us Bd> Us, 10s 6d, 805,'.9s 6d, 9s 3d, 9s, 8s 6d. Ewes: Heavy, to 6d, 6s 3d, 6s, 5s 9d. Ewes: 5s Gd, 5s 2d, Id to 4s 6d. Lambs: 12s 6d, 12s, 11s 6d, Jls, 10s 9d, 10 3d, 10s, 9s 6d to 9s. } EXPORTS OF MEAT TO BRITAIN. The New Zealand Meat Producers Board Jb advised by cable from its London Office *bat the shipments from Australia and Bouth America to the United Kingdom 'during the month of, January were as folJows:—Australia: Mutton 75,048, lamb 154,350, quarters beef 26,058. South America: Mutton 61,729, lamb 671,524, quarters fceef. (frozen) 0655 (chilled) 527,070. The jjihiprorents from New Zealand to the UnitEd Kingdom for the same period were as follows:—New Zealand: Mutton 239,----4BS, samb 854,856, quarters beef 7904. The shipments from South America to the Continent of Europe during the same period jh-ere as follows:—Mutton 980 tons, frozen fceef 7777 tons.
