LANG A MAD MULLAH
WILD MEN OF LABOUR
MENACE TO COMMONWEALTH
SYDNEY, 10th February. The "Sun" newspaper, in an editorial, says: " Cheered on by the wild men of tho Labour Party, the political Mad Mullah of New South Wales declared yesterday for a policy of financial repudiation. "AYe have become used to these extraordinary outbursts from Mr. Lang,, whose posturing has given rise to both resentment and but this time there can be no amusement. "During this year the Commonwealth has £27,000,000 in. loans coming due, and the States nearly £17,000,000. What possible chance of conversion will there be if the Mad Mullah finance of Mr. Lang becomes the policy of Now South Wales? "Ho is-a menace to the Commonwealth, and the people must devise a means of removing him from dictatorship, and thereby give Australia a proper chance of putting its affairs in order."
