SHIPPING COMPANIES' GAMES
A pleasant afternoon was spe.ut at the Miraihar courts by tennis, players trolu the various shipping c6mpanies. last Saturday. A doubles tournament was organised, partners being drawn for, and some very interesting games resulted. The players were divided into four groups, each group playing a small Yankee tournament. Group winners were as follows:—Mrs. Morgan (Burns, Philp) and Hr. M'Kelvy (Union Co.), Miss Tustin (Burns, Philp) and Mr Fraser (Union C0.),-'Mr. Hector (Union Co.) and 'Mr. Barlow (Union. Co.), Mr Hebb (Burns, Philp) and Mr., Morgan (Burns, Philp). " ' ■" The final was won by Mrs. Morgan and Mr. M'Kelvy, and was a very popular win, the pair going through unbeaten. /• ■ The cups were- presented by Mr. O. H. Norman, president of the Shipping Officers' Guild, who expressed his Eatififactio'rt'/at seeing so much enthusiasm and such a high standard of play. '''..'
