The summer programme nrranged by the Hutt Golf Club is proving very popular, and the events ure being enthusiastically contested.. The Summer Clip match play on handicap, for which there were no qualifying rounds, has reached the -semifinal stage, G. C. Phillips, W. G. Fisher, H. G. Hay ward/ and G. L. Goodwin having fought their way to this position. J. Fliinngan, with. a.score of 1 up, was successful in winning" the-bogey competition held on 17th-January, this being a good performance, considering the very strong wind experienced on that day. Next week-end a four-ball handicap com; petition will be played.
