The British Luncheon Club gave an Australia Pay luncheon, attended by the retiring, Consul-General, Mr. Armstrong, and his successor, Mr. Campbell. A letter was read from Mr. Lindsay: "I wish Australia ilie prosperity, which I ani sure will return to her as soon as to any; other of the suffering countries of the world."
