MURDER IN THE PUNJAB
YOUTH SENTENCED TO DEATH
(Eeceived 27th January, 11 a.m.) DELHI, 26th January. Hari Kislien, a young Punjabi, was sentenced to death at Lahore for the murder of Chanan Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, and sentenced to life transportation for an attempt to murder the Governor of the Punjab and Budsingli Wadawari, a detective, in the Punjab University Hall. Tho jury found the prisoner guilty
on all three charges, but its recommendation of mercy on account of his youth was not accepted by the Judge.
