MERCANTILE MARINE CUP RACE
Owing to the non-arrival of two overseas ships, the race for the Mercantile Marine Cup, between ships' boats, fixed for last Saturday, has been postponed •until 5.30 p.m. to-morrow. The race will take place from Pipitea Wharf to Taranaki Street Wharf. A great deal of enthusiasm is being shown by the men of the ships in port regarding the xace, and the contest should be worth •watching. The cup will be presented at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society, 57, Cuba, street, to-morrow evening, by Mr. C. M. Turrell.
