DEFALCATIONS IN SYDNEY
LOOSE .METHODS CRITICISED
(Received 26th January, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Sydney Gity Council recently ordered an inquiry into defalcations amounting to £2000 in rent collections. The council owns considerable property. The Town has now received a report, revealing the loes of £2000 in rents for 1930, and making a scathing criticism of the Joose methods adopted in the control of the city's assets. It is pointed out that £200,000 loss represents the slump in rental values of the council's properties, which include a number of hotels and'business sites. •
