LOCK-OUT IN LANCASHIRE

In regard to the dispute in the cotton weaving industry, the weavers' amalgamated unions, by a 2 to 1 majority, refused the executive powers to negotiate on the issue or more looms per weaver. The lock-out is costing Lancashire two millions sterling weekly in the loss of orders and wages.
