There was good riding with close finishes at the dirt track last night A feature of the evening was Buchanan's riding on the corners, this being even more spectacular than Frogley's. Nesbit won the helmet. Roslyn Handicap.—Final: Frogley, scr, 1; Ranby (Wellington), ssec, 2; Unwin, 3. Won by 15 yards. Time, 90 3-ssec. England v. Australasia.—Buchanan, lr Frogley, 2; Mangham, 3.
