1 Dr. and Mrs. G. Craig ami Miss Nessiel Craig, who havo been visiting England, returned' to Wellington yesterday by the Monowai from Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. dime, Ilimterville, who visited Wellington for tho \ races, returned home this morning. Mrs. B. W. Kano and Miss Amy Kane, Halswell street, returned to Wellington yesterday by tho Monowai, sitter a holiday visit to Adelaide. Mr. and Mrs. I. Salek returned to Wellington yesterday after a trip to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Lan Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, arrived in Wellington on Saturday to meet, Mr. Hamilton's mother, who arrived from Scotland for a visit to New Zealand. Mrs. G. D. Greenwood, who arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Monowai, will leave for Christehureh this evening. Miss Sheila Todd, Miss Mary Prcedy, and Miss Sheila preedy, Wellington, motored from Masterton yesterday after taking part in the Wairarapa. tennis tournament. Miss Todd 'will leave ±or Christehureh to-morrow night. Mrs. Ormond Cooper and Miss Ngaiene Cooper, Tinakori road, havo returned from a holiday visit to Paekakariki. Miss Van Staveron, The Terrace, has returned to Wellington after a trip to the Sounds.Miss "Margaret Whyte, Talavcra terrace, returned to Wellington on Saturday from Masteiton, where sho took part in the tennis tournament. Miss Denise Monteath; Christehureh, will arrive in Wellington on Thursday, en jouto to England. Mrs. Waddy, Blenheim, is the guest of Mrs. Ormond Cooper, Tinakori road. Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Simms, Karori, and Miss A. C. Freeman will leave this evening for a visit to Christehureh. Miss Elizabeth Harris, Cashmere Hills, Christehureh, will leave- at the end of the month for a trip to England. Miss Magill, who has been attending a conferenco of teachers in Adelaide, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Monowai from Sydney. Misses Mary and Gertrude Shallcrass, who have been spending somo weeks in Christchurch, have returned to Wellington. ,' .The Hon. G. J. Smith, M.L.C., and. Mrs. Smith have returned to Christchurch after a short visit to Wellington. Miss Mary Gabites, Timaru, is paying a short visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Duncan, who visited Wellington for the races, ieturned'to Wanganui on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Stead and family, Hawkes Bay, will leave shortly for Australia, where they w,ill reside in future. Miss Gwen Fenwick, Christehureh, will arrive in Wellington on Thursday, en route to England. , Miss K. Old is a Wellington visitor to Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. H. Jervis, Lower Hutt, is the guest of Mrs. A. E. Harding, Aoroa, Dargavillc. Mrs. Lyim Thomas, Scotland, who has been staying with Mrs. D. G. Johnston, Lower Hutt, is now the guest of Mrs. Eastwick, Tapanui, Johnsonville.
