UNIVERSITY HONOURS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, 19th January. Tho University Senate has conferred the degrees of M.B. and Ch.B. upon the fillowing students of the • Otago School of Medicine: —Lennox Douglas, Fred. Hodgkiss, Douglas Masson, Logan Archibald, Eobert Alexander, Marshall Thomas, Seton Norris, Adah Hamilton, Evelyn Platts-Mills, and Donald George Wallace. The Bowen prize for an historical essay has been granted by the University Sejiato to Geoffrey >S. Cox, of Otago University, on the recommendation of the Senate's committee. G. A. W. Bennett and James Munro Bectrain, both pf Auckland University College, were recorded as equal proxime aecessit. The subject of tho essay on this occasion Wiis "A Comparison between the Social, Industrial, and Commercial Kesnlts to the Empire of the Two Great Wars that ended in 1815 and 1918 respectively."
The next annual session is to open at Dunedin'on 13th Jantiary, 1932.
