The Seamen's Union at Sydney passed a resolution in favour of rationing. For instance, where a man has been in employment continuously, oa. any vessel for, say, six months, he' must stand aside for an unemployed member of the union. . : A significant fact is th-at the meeting was attended by an. overwhelming number of idla seamen. ' Shipowners regard the resolution, as a contravention of the award.
