EXTENSION TO HUTT VALLEY A meeting of the headmasters of Hntt Valley schools was held at the Hutt Central School yesterday for tho purpose of considering a scheme for providing school libraries for tho Hutt "Valley schools. Messrs. Norrie and Perry, of the Wellington City Library, were present, and placed the scheme, at present in force in "Wellington, before the meeting, and offered under certain conditions to make tho scheme available for tie Hutt "Valley. It was pointed out that while the scheme was free to city children, a charge would have to be made if it was extended to the Hutt Valley, but it was expected that the amount would not exceed Is 3d per child per annum.' A committee composed of Messrs. K. N. Wilson, R. J. Burk, and H. A. Millar was set up to see what assistance would be forthcoming from the Education Board and the Department, and also to place the matter before the school committees. The meeting, which was attended by Mr. W. Nash, M.P., was unanimously in favour of the scheme. The visitors were entertained,at afternoon tea by Mr. H. A. Millar.
