SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Mrs. H. F. E. Fildes provided a most pleasing programme for her seafaring guests at the Sailors' Friend Society last night, when the keenest interest was shown by the njen in the proceedings. The insistent recalls testified to the enjoyment of all. Light refreshments were handed round by the hostess and her helpers. ' The performers were Mesdames Petrie and Harper, Misses Mutter, Nola Harper, Madge Mutter; Messrs. H. Ware, C. C. Brown, and Smith. The Rev. Mr. Petrie and Mr. H. Ware were at the piano. The competitions afforded much pleasure, the prizes being given by the hostess and Mrs. Petrie. ■ Mr. J. Moore, missioner, announced that every effort was being made to get a piatoo to replace the one in use for thirty years. He said that they required a few more pounds.
