NEW ZEALAND NAVY
APPOINTMENTS MADE
A number of appointments to the New Zealand. Division of the Royal Navy are announced in this week's "Gazette." As already announced, 11.M.5. Diomede is to be recommissioned by Captain M. J. C._ de Meric, M.V.0., who will have with him as his principal executive C°nimander V. A. C. Crutchley, V.C., DiS.C. Other appointments to the New Zealand Navy are as follow:— Surgeon Commander Walter Palmer Vicary, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Paymaster Commander William Evelyn Hatten Jolly, Koyal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. ' Paymaster Lieutenant-Commander Hubert Perciyal Chapman, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Paymaster Sub-Lieutenant John Garfield Bennett, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Lieutenant-Commander Arthur Wellesley Clarke, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Dioniede. ■ . Lieutenant Harold Forgusson Lawson, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Lieutenant Vivian Francis Boyle, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Lieutenant Richard John Hammevsley Ryan, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Lieutenant Henry Bell Carleton Holmes, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede, from date of recommissioning for service, and to 11.M.5. Philomel from date of joining. Lieutenant Charles Trusson Collett, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Sub-Lieutenant George Edward Bing-ham-Powell, Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede from date of recommissioning for service. Lieutenant (E) Christopher Webster Jones Royal Navy, to H.M.S. Diomede. Captain John Chaddesley Westall, Royal Marines, to H.M.S. Diomede, from date of rcconiinissioning for service, and as squadron Royal Marine officer from date ot transfer of Broad Pendant of Commojdore Commanding New Zealand Station
