WEDDINGS

An evening wedding was solemnised at the Kent Terrace-:-' Presbyterian Church recently, when Christina Eona, only daughter of the lato Alexander Morison Miller and Mrs. Amy Miller,' Wellington, was married to Alexander Gordon, only boh of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Macrae, Wellington. The Bey. E. J. Orange officiated. The church was decorated with . pink rhododendrons. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr. B. J. Cooke, Blenheim, wore a frock of shell pink Chantilly lace with close-fitting bodice and long fully-flared skirt. Her veil of embroidered shell pink tulle- was arranged with clusters of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet to tone. Mr. David W. Miller was best man, and Mr. C. W. Kerry, an old frieiiclof the bride's family, was at tlio organ. The reception was held at the Berkeley Hotel, Oriental Bay, Mrs. Miller receiving the guests. SJie wore a frock of black silk lace with coatee to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers. Mrs. Macrao (senior) wore black satin marocain, and carried a bouquet of mauve flowers. The bride's travelling ensemble was of Lido blue crepede chine, with hat to match. i The marriage was solemnised recently at St. Peter and Paul's Church, Lower Hutt, of Eileen Dunn, adopted daughter of Mrs. W. Dumphy, Lower Hutt, and Eussell Calvert, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Calvert, Hawera. The ceremony was performed by the Eev. Father Daly. The bride's dainty frock was of ivory satin cut on empire lines, with a hand-embroidered veil caught with a. half circle of orange blossoms. She was escorted by Mr. J. J. M'Meuamin, M.P., of South Africa. The bridesmaids, Misses Ivy Dumphy and P. Dunn, wore long frocks of eau de nil georgette .with hats to match. Two flower girls, Misses Joyce M' Menamin and Eosina Calvert, wore frocks of lemon coloured frilled not. Mr. Stanley Watkins was best man and Mr. T. Bnnclc groomsman. The wedding reception was held in the Oddfellows' Hall. Mrs. Dumphy received the guests wearing a gown of black lace.
