TRACK RIDER'S DEATH
COLLISION WITH FENCE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The inquest on George Matthew Victor Chambers, a Speedway rider, who was fatally injured on the opening night of the racing season at Monica Park, waa conclud-ed. The Coroner's verdict stated that the cause of death was laceration of tho brain and fracture of the skull, sustained through colliding with a I'eihio. Tho accident appeared to bo duo to an error ol; judgment on the part of Chambers in negotiating a bend on the track. There was no evidence of want of equipment or of fault in the track itself.
