SUCCESSFUL PUPIL
Plying a Gypsy Moth aeroplane, which is at present on loan to the Wellington Aero Club from the Government, Wing-Commander Grant-Dalton [left Wellington at 11 o'clock yesterday morning for Blenheim. It was his intention to put some of the Maryborough Aero Club's pupils through their "A" licence tests, but on account of the unfavourable weather the tests had to be abandoned. Wing-Commander GrantDalton arrived back at the Rongotai Aerodrome at 3 p.m., and put one of the Wellington Aero Club's pupils, Mr. R. Spong, through the- "A" licence test. Mr. Spong passed the test satisfactorily. Flying a Gypsy Moth, Miss P. Bennett,* of tho Mavlborough Aero Club, left Rongotai for Blenheim shortly after midday yesterday, accompanied by her mother. The trip across the Straits occupied forty; mduutee.
