SEALING ROAD HAUNCHES.
The wisdom of sealing the haunches oi' the Hntt road between Naahauranga and Koro Koro, a work decided upon recently by the City and Suburban Highways Board, was questioned by Sir Alexander Roberts, Mayor of Lower Hu'tt, at yesterday's meeting of the board. "I would like to express the opinion that the work should not be carried out," he said. After going into the matter with the borough engineer, he considered that the sealing would disappear within eighteen months. ■It was pointed out that notice of motion was necessary to rescind the previous decision, and Sir Alexander Roberts gave notice accordingly.
