PRICE OF PETROL.
Motor spirit, as a result of intense cpgpetition in'Taeoma, Washington (U.Ts.A.), is.sold at Bid a gallon. Th% the N.R.M.A. considers, is probaoly the lowest price on record. In Sydney, however, motor spirit is obtained cheaper than, this by "milking", the tanks of parked cars. ■Complaints are-made by Sydney motorists that'thieves have shown great daring in this way, tanks being emptied of as much as 10 to 12 gallons of petrol, and it is considered' unsafe to.leave a car anyw.Sere in the streets of the city, especially after dark.
