WIDENING OF HUTT ROAD
"lias.the Main Highways Board approved of the widening of tho Hutt road?" asked Mr. D. B. Hoggard at to-day's meeting of the City and Suburban Highways Board. Mr. F. N. Thompson (Assistant City Engineer) replied that the general scheme had been approved, but not the plan in detail. Tho Mayor (Mr. G. A. Troup): "Have you called for tenders yet?" Mr. Thompson: "No." The Main Highways Board was on tour at the present time. He understood, however, that Hie plan was in order.
