LODGE MEETINGS

Tho quarterly meeting of Pacific Lodae. No. S, U.A.0.D., was liekl recently, A.I). Bro. Taylot1 presiding; over a fair attendance. Benge, D.P.. and members of R.A.C., Excelsior, and other lodges. Tlie quarterly meeting1 of Coronation Lodge, iVo. 26, U.A.0.U., was presided over by Bro. A. Robinson (Arch Druid), and was -well attended. Tho District President (Bro. Crewes) paid an official visit and was received with Druidic honours. Visitors were present from Pacific, Excelsior, , Melrose, .Island Bay, and Pride of Brooklyn Lodges. The sick bards' reports were received and sick pay passed. One candidate was initiated, Bro. G. Bott acting as M.C. Bro. M'Lauphlan gave a report of the proceedings of the Dispensary Board. P.D.P. Bro. J. Jolmstone and P.A. Bro. A. E. Smith were present as examiners for the Royal Arch Chapter, and reported that candidates for the respective offices had passed their examination tests -with credit. A notice of motion by Bro. Mollison, dealing with Grand Lodge meetings, was partly considered and held over until next meeting. Bro. J. Phillips gave notice to move at the nest meeting that officers of the lodge hold their position for twelve months instead of six, as at present. Bros. Crewes and Smith acted as scrutineers, and the following brothers were elected to the various offices: —A.D., Bro. Lawton; V.A., Bro. Tregowarth; 1.G., Bro. Ollett; 0.G., Bro. Smith; A.D.B.'s, Bros. Rowlands and Phillips: V.A.B.'s. Bros. Cooper and 'Coburn; M.C. Bro. C. Bott: minute secretary, Bro. C. Bott; pianist, Bro. M'La«ghlan; reporter, Bro. N\ A. Ingrain: auditor, Bro. T; Sargeant; delegate to Grand Lodge meeting, Bro. T. Smitiison: lodge's nomination for D.P., No. 21 district, Bro. G. Rodd; delegate, to Dispensary Board, Bro. M'LatigWctii; delegate to Hospital Association, Bro. Smithson: delegate to R.A.C., Bro. Afollison: ritual coach. Bro. Rowlands: delegate to Medical Institute. Bro. Smithson; isoeial stewards. Bros. MT-jaughlanl during the term, and to the singing of the lodge .choir, led by Bro. Mollison. Bro. J. H. Langhton gave some interesting details of Parliamentary procedure and congratulated the Arch Druid on the manner in which he had conducted the business of the lodge during the past year. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the visitors. Bros. Mollison and In'gram retain their positions as secretary and treasurer respectively. The fortnightly meeting of Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge, No. 3S, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held recently, Sister G. E. Collins, N.G., presidiug over a good attendance. A'ceounts were passed for payment, correspondence read ami disposed of, and invitations accepted. Brothers Dames, Jones, M'Mahon, and Tahiwi were nominated as Grand Lodge representatives. Sister Morrison, L.D.D.G.M., installed Sister Crowther as financial secretary. Sister Collins was elected Press reporter. Fraternal greetings were conveyed by Sisters Dahl (2), of Kiwi Lodge, Hawera. The first meeting of Esther Rebekah Lodge, No. 30, 1.0.0. F., N.Z.. in the Scouts' Hall, Karori, was held recently, Sister J. Tahiwi, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. Communications were read and received and invitations, wore accepted. 'Visitors were ■ present from Raliiri, Victoria, and .Rose of Wellington Rebels Lodges. One candidate was nominated for membership. Bros. G. F. Rudkin, K. Tahiwi, 11. Dames, aud F. J. Joues were nominated as Grand Lodge representatives.. Final arrangements were made for a social and dance to be held early in December. ■
