FIERCE CYCLONE
HAVOC IN MADRAS
WORST FOR SIXTY YEARS
(Received 2nd December, 10 a.m.) ■ DELHI, Ist December. Madras suffered severely from one of the fiercest cyclones experienced 'in the past sixty years. The storm, which swept the city, caused immense havoc. An oil tanker was driven aground. Three Europeans were drowned, many, huts were destroyed, and city offices collapsed. ■ The electric light supply was paralysed, and all telegraph lines arc dpwn.
