Notwithstanding the known hostility of the members of the Commonwealth Bank Board, plans for the inflation of the currency of the Commonwealth were advanced by Federal Ministers at a conference between members of the Ministry and the board. The Acting-Prime Minister, Mr. J. F. Fenton, said the board had agreed to consider the various proposals, and a further conference is being held today.
