MELBOURNE, Ist December. The cricket match between the "West Indies team and Victoria was resumed in delightful weather, and on a fast wicket. Constantino, who has recovered from strain, bow-led-with great pace, . and speedily wound up the innings. lie dismissed Barnett and llassctt in successive deliveries and, two overs later, dismissed Darling and Alexander with 'his sixth and eighth'balls, respectively. 'Constanti'ne's figures for the morning were five overs, one maiden, and twenty-two runs i'or four wickets. He showed his versatility by catching Ironmonger brilliantly at third slip. The last five wickets were dismissed in 44 minutes —a . totally unexpected slump. ' It is obvious already that Constantino will have to bear a great load of responsibility throughout the tour, as the other bowlers appear to be .lacking in sting. The visitors' second innings jjroved a, debacle, the batsmen being all at sea with Ironmonger, who maintained an. accurate length, made pace off the wicket, and turned the ball deceptively. He bowled fourteen overs, which included three maidens. Headley was again attractive, batting for »4 minutes and hitting three boundaries. Hunte and Grant gave a neat display, batting for SO minutes. The visitors' downfall probably was due to the wicket being much faster than ;on Saturday, but they will do better when more accustomed to the vagaries of the Australian wickets.
