JOHNSONVILLE SALE.
Messrs. Wright Stephcnson and Co., Ltd. and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Johnsonville sale held on Thursday as follows:—In spite of the very rough weather experienced there was a good attendance of buyers. We offered an average, yarding of very fine quality cattle, and competition was good at prices 10s to 15s below the rates ruling last week. Sheep came forward Up to the usual numbers, and a total clearance was effected at auction. Prices for all classes of sheep offered showed a decline on last week's rates. The wethers being easier to the extent of Is 6d per head, shorn hoggets 2s 6d to 3s, ewes 2s to 2s 6d, and spring lambs Is to Is 6d. After the sale we offered a consignment of pedigree sows. Competition was good, prices being as follow v s: —£7 15s, £7 7s 6d, £7 ss, £6 15s. We quote: Extra heavy bullocks, £17 15s, £17 12s 6d, £17 10s; heavy bullocks, £17 ss, £16 15s, £16 12s 6d, £16 ss, £16, £15 15s, £15 12s 6d; medium bullocks, £15 ss, £15, £14 15s, £14 10k, £14; light bullocks, £13 10s, £13, £12 12s (3d, £12 ss; heavy wethers, 22s Id, 21s lOd, 21s 6d, 21s, 20s lOd, 20s 6d; medium wethers, 20s Id, 19s Bd, 19s, 18s 4d; shorn hoggets, 18s 6d, ISs, 17s 4d, 17s, 16s 6d, 15s 2"d; shorn ewes, 13s 2d, 12s Od, 12s 3d, 11s lpd, 11s 3d. 10s 9d, 10s 4d, 9s 7d; lambs (heavy), 20s Id, 19s 6d, 18s 4d, 18s; lambs, 17s 10d, 17s Gd, 17s 3d, 17s, 16s 6d, 16s, 15s Bd, 15s.
