PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Petone Borough Council met last night, the -Mayor (Mr. D. M'Kenzie) presiding, v There were also present Councillors E. T. Hogg, H. A. Ryder, V. E. Jacobson, J. W. Longman, V. A. Noble, and E. W. Toomath. Permission was given the Petone Beautifying Society to let a portion of the foreshore as a miniature golf course at the Christmas Carnival and for three months afterwards. Tho Town Clerk reported that the Ngaroma Croquet Club had made a donation of £,7, ami the General .Motors' Band a donation of ££2 Us 9d for unemployment relief.
