A team from Shandon was enthusiastically entertained at the TitaM links on Sal- ; urday, when an inter-club /match was played, resulting in the. match being squared,, five games each and one halved. The following are the results, Shandon players being mentioned first:— Hunter beat Gibson, 2 and 1. Bowring and Biovr, all square. Stuckey beat Sloane, 4 and 3. Clabcott beat Marehant, 1 up. M'Carroll lost to Crombie, 8 and 7. . Stubberfield beat Dentice, 5 and 3. Denz lost to Whitman, 4 and 3. M'Carthy lost to Downer, 4 and 3. Swan lost to Brice, 7 and 5. Low beat Thompson, 5 and i. Mackay lost to Burnett, 3 and 2. The Shandon visitors were impressed with'the possibilities of the natural golfing country at Titahißay.
