SUMMER BLOOMS

NORTHLAND SHOW

The Summer Show of the Northland Horticultural Society -was opened on Saturday by "the Mayor, Mr. G. A. Troup, The rose section was' not up to' standard, but exhibits in other sections were more numerous and''of better quality than usual. The champion bloom was exhibited by Mr. G. S. Nicoll. Mr. B. Sutherland secured most points. Outstanding features were exhibits of woodwork, plasticine, and weaving by school children, and coloured embroidery in the ladies' section.
