UNSATISFACTORY MARKETS.

LONDON, 29th November. ' The butter market has gone from bad to worse. Prices declined about 6s this week, due to heavy arrivals, both actual and prospective, -which make holders ner■vous and inclined to press sales on both cold stored stocks and fresh landed goods. Consumption is well maintained, thanks to low retail prices, but does not show an expansion. . Cheese also has an -unsatisfactory market, and although the price has • been lowered about 5s the demand is slow. Canada is offering the remainder of its make for shipment at low prices, so there seems no prospect of any improvement, hi/.New Zealand and Australian.

The Dairy Board reports for week ended 2Sth November: —New Zealand salted butler, 98s to 104s per cwt; last week, 104s 1o 108s; Danish, spot, 130s to, 1325; last vrcefij 138s to 140s. Retail value New Zc/Isnd unchanged at Is 2d per 1b; Danish r'/luced to Is 4d per lb. Market weak and irregular. ' ■ Cheese, New Zealand white is selling at 63s to 665, and for exceptional lines 67s per cwt; and coloured at 59s to 635, and up to 645, compared With 71s t0.73s for white and 67s to 69s for coloured last week. Market weaker and irregular. Canadian white sells 76s to 79s and 75s to 78s for coloured, as last week. Market quiet.
