MONEY COMING IN STEADILY
It is estimated that up till to-day close on 150,000 men1 had" paid one or more instalments of the unemployment levy. The majority of those registered are paying only one instalment of 7s 6d, those paying the full levy of 30s being few and far between. The levy must be paid by 31st December, after which date, the Act provides, persons who have not paid are liable, on summary conviction, to a fine of £5, as well as being liable, without conviction, to an impost of 6d for every month or portion of a.month they are in arrears. ■ *■
