MOTOR-CYCLE CRASH
TWO LIVES THROWN AWAY
(By Telegraph.—Preai Association.) AUCKLAND, 13th November. "Two more young lives have been thrown away through this excessive craze for speed," commented the Coroner, Mr. F. X.-Hunt, S.M., at an inquest into the deaths of William 'Vntony Wyvill Thompson, aged HO, and Florence H. M'Donald, aged 16, who died from'injuries received m a collision between the motor-cycle they were riding and a stationary motortruck in New North road, on 29th October, A verdict of accidental death was returned in each case. "The speed of the motor-cycle was lerrilio," said Archibald Alfred Letnan. "I think ho was travelling too fast to negotiate a dangerous bend such as I here is at the point where the accident happened." The witness said that the force of tho collision scut the motor-truck forward.
