ENGLAND WANTS TO SEE HIM

Davis, owner of Phar Lap, has received a cable message from the London "Daily Express stating that the opinion in England is that Phar Lap is a better horse than Carbine was, and asking if Mr. Davis will issue a challenge for a race for the world championship, or run the horse at Ascot, as English sportsmen desire to see him in. action. Mr. Davis said he would not entertain the idea of sending Phar Lap out of AusJ traliii. "If they care to send the best horse here I am prepared to back J'har Lap, and they can name the distance," he said. Mr. Davis has cabled to the "Daily Express" to that effect.
