A southerly change moved gradually northwards over the Dominion, accompanied by some showers. The deep depression, located near Tasmania yesterday is, however, extending eastwards rapidly, and this morning winds were again freshening generally from the north. The rain was widespread, but of a rather local nature, and there were few heavy falls.
