TO-MORROW'S OPENING-.

With two Australian cinder-track motor* cyclists and several of the' leading New; Zealand riders taking part in the princi-pal-events, the opening meeting o£ the speedway season at the Kilbirnie Stadium to-morrow night promises to provide excellent measure of thrilling sport as well as spectacular displays of broadsiding. The Australian representatives are H. Durkin, and E. Hamberger, and after competing at this meeting they will go to the South Island. Durkin has a long list of successes on Australian tracks, on which his riding is a special feature. The visitors, lit spite of the fact that they have had a good deal o£ competition already this season, should experience strong opposition from, T. Wilkinson, H. Mangham, C. Tonks, and others. Mangham is reported to hay« improved as a result of a tour to England this year, and Wilkinson indicated lftfl* Saturday that his form is likely to be ev«ft better than it was last season. . The lewf> ing riders are to appear in a Big Nini Scratch under rolling start conditions, <u» they will also compete in a first-class hand^ cap.
