GALLANT FIGHT
MR. SCULLIN AND CAUCUS
SYMPATHY IN BRITAIN
LONDON, 9th November. "There is little doubt that Cabinet can defy the Caucus in the Federal House with success. Mr." Scullin holds the keys of the situation," declares the "News-Chronicle" in an editorial. The article proceeds: "Thero is a certain picturesqueness in the lonely figure of a small, ailing man, in whose hands, though 12,000 miles away, Australia's fate appears to lie. Tho courage with which Mr. Seullin is facing his anxious and difficult task will receive the warm sympathy of Englishmen. The explosion may prove a blessing to Australia by clearing the air. It is difficult to believe that the better elements in Australian Labour will not rally to tho support of their leader."
